A little about me....

My name is Phyllis Holly. I started My Sassy Shoes after a search for a unique, expressive and artistic baby gift for my niece. Asking too much? Yes, apparently, because there was nothing like that on the market. So I created my own.

I was born and raised in Chicago in a large family of 4 sisters and wonderful parents. My artistic abilities were encouraged at a young age. Art supplies, art classes, art school. It seemed like small details were my strong suit so I guess it makes sense I was drawn to painting these tiny things. 

After wowing friends and guests at baby showers, my creations were later represented at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago. The shoes were featured in catalogs and were voted "Best New Product" at the Gift Show in Chicago. The went on to sell in gift catalogs and to major league baseball players through a specialty store catering to children of athletes. They were eventually picked up by a manufacturer in California and were sold all over the U.S. and other countries. We now lovingly create them ourselves with the utmost of care and detail.

 We love making these precious keepsakes for babies and the reactions they receive is undeniable. They are fun, colorful and loaded with detail. Now they are available to anyone.
